I really do enjoy it, but it's nice to have anime offer something other than the one-note approach that shows here in America seem to have. I don't see anything wrong with that at all. The animation here in the states is always more relegated to the slapstick humor and more traditional kid-oriented comedy. I take animation in all different tones, from goofy to serious and everything inbetween. I really enjoy what cartoons offer, and that goes for the medium itself and not just the pretty colors. I've watched many a cartoon in my day, and I continue to watch cartoons to this very day. With that said, I do have to admit that anime seems to cater to my interests more than any other animation style, but I'll never shut out other animations because of that. I absolutely love animation in general, no matter what country its coming from or the style it is in. There are all different types of animation styles out there.

What would you say is the best show of the year? Something that was really head-and-shoulders above the crowd. Fill us in on the shows that really struck a chord with you in 2011. With that said, I'd love to hear from you guys on anime content in 2011 that you really loved. It can be hard to keep track of all the anime content that gets release every year, and I'm sure most of us will still be catching up on 2011 shows as we ring in the new year! That goes for both localized content and shows that have only aired in Japan thus far. From comedies to serious series', I'm sure most of you managed to find a handful of programs that really tickled your anime fancy. Much like any other years, there was plenty of great anime content to choose from. It's also scary how fast we can age without even realizing it! My goal for 2012 is to slow things down!Īt least I got to check out a lot of great anime this year. It's ridiculous how fast time can go when you're busy. If Application Support folder has read write access and the problem persists, try checking the library folder in which the Applications support folder resides and give write permissions there if needed. Can you believe that 2011 is already coming to a close? I swear, it feels like I just started writing that year a couple days ago.

Note that to change the read/write permissions in the info window you may have to click the small lock icon in the bottom right of the window. On the bottom of that window you can see the permissions, if it says "read only" you've located the source of your problems.Īdjust the permissions by by clicking on the "read only" on the right where it says admin and select "read and write" and you're done! To fix: locate the applications support folder within the library folder that rests directly on Machintosh HD (not the one in the users - "User Name" folder)Ĭlick on it and press CMD-i to bring up the info window (cmd is the key that's on the both sides of the space bar)

Smith Micro support helped me solve this.Īpparently this error comes because my admin account didn't have write permissions in the Machintosh HD - Library - Application Support folder.įor others that may find this error the causes can be:Ī) you're not logged in as an admin - log in as admin and the problem is solved.ī) you're running on an upgraded OS - migrated from Tiger (10.4) to Leopard (10.5) or from Leopard (10.5) to Snow Leopard (10.6) or you've installed a fresh copy of OS X/got it installed on your new computer and imported the library folder from an older installation which causes this permissions error.
